1862 – March 21 – Nashville City Cemetery records recorded that Salley “servant to Cpl. Joseph A.S. Acklim” [sic] when buried at the Old City Cemetery on March 21, 1862, in the “Negro lot” at the cost of $4.00; age 23 and died of “Pneumonie.” (Nashville City Cemetery records (5-1862:133).
