Group and School Tours
We offer a variety of options for tour groups of 12 or more, whether you want to bring your class, homeschool group, church group, book club, or tour group. All group tours include access to the mansion, knowledgeable guides, and our award-winning exhibit “Upon the Toils of Many.” Contact us today for pricing or to make a reservation!
Curator’s Tour, A Lasting Impression Tour, Battle of Nashville Tour, Standard Guided Tour, General Admission (Self-guided tour), Christmas Tour, or a special tour based on your group’s interests.

Guided tours specialized to age groups or based on what your class is studying. We also offer a travelling classroom program titled "History Investigators."
Cost of guided tours is $6 for students, $8 for high school, $11 for college students, $13 for chaperones. These rates also apply to homeschool groups of over 15.
Cost of the travelling classroom program is $4 per student along with a milage fee based on the current Federal Government Rate.
One chaperone is required for every 10 students or children. It is the chaperone’s responsibility to ensure the students or children follow the Mansion’s code of conduct (See How should groups act on site?).
We ask that guests be mindful and courteous to others while visiting the Mansion.
Behaviors that interfere with Belmont Mansion’s mission or involve harassment, abuse or endangerment of guests, staff, or volunteers are not permitted. This includes discriminatory or obscene language, clothing, or conduct – or any behaviors that disrupt the experience of others. Belmont Mansion reserves the right to ask any individuals who engage in these behaviors to leave the premises.
We do not currently have any lesson plans available, but we do have a list of bibliographic sources that could be useful in the classroom, both primary and secondary, available here.
15 person minimum. 60 person maximum entering per hour.
To book a group tour, our Director of Education will draw up a contract for your tour that contains all contact info, date and time of tour, tour choice, and an invoice. Once you return the signed contract, we will confirm we have received it and reserve your tour in our calendar.
Tours must be booked at least 14 business days prior to the tour date. Please note that final group numbers and payment must be provided 14 business days prior to the tour.
Guided tours last approximately 90 minutes. Self guided tours last approximately 45 minutes. Please add at least 30 minutes for guests to spend time in the gift shop, restroom, outside, or getting on/off the bus.
Tours for students last approximately 60 minutes. The travelling classroom program lasts approximately 45-60 min. Please add at least 30 minutes for guests to spend time in the gift shop, restroom, outside, or getting on/off the bus.
There is space available for bus parking near the mansion. Please let us know what size bus you are bringing. Belmont University charges $25 for reserving the space. This will be included on your invoice. An interactive campus map is available here.
Private bus rentals are available for groups of all sizes through our partners at CharterUP. Additionally, Nashville Charter Bus Company is a safe, affordable option to rent a charter bus to the mansion.
