Elias Winkler

1870 – US Census listed him as 27 years old and born in Switzerland. Most likely he was an assistant to Owen Sharkey. In October, he was exhibiting plants at the Fall Agricultural and Mechanical Association Fair, but did not indicated where he worked. During the post war period there were sometimes two gardeners working at Belmont.
