Restoration at Belmont Mansion
The 19th century story of Belmont Mansion is one architecture, but it is also one of people. Those stories are best told against the backdrop of the house as it was when it was a 19th century home.
Each room in Belmont Mansion has either undergone or will undergo a careful restoration based on months of research and investigation and which utilizes artisans and craftspeople skilled in the decorative arts. The work includes installing reproduction wallpaper, replicating period appropriate wood graining and analysis of original paint to reveal period colors and ceilings murals. It is a long, but rewarding process. We invite you to join our journey of discovery.
